Youth Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship culture remains a critical aspect of Rwanda’s economic development agenda, if any organization is to make an impact in the world of entrepreneurial innovation & creativity tomorrow; it must focus on preparing the youth of today for tomorrow. At Indigo Int., we are looking into nurturing entrepreneurship at a very young age.

This service will provide an opportunity for students with entrepreneurial traits to discover them in their early age, and build on them as they grow in simulated business environments, with really business challenges to overcome as they continue to also prosper in their academic endeavors.

For those who are unfortunate to continue their education, Indigo Int. will identify talented young drop-outs; provide them with an entrepreneurial journey to facilitate them to identify opportunities for innovative and creative business within their respective talents. The aim of this process is to nurture young businesses from vulnerable talented young children and facilitate them to lead a life that provides them with promises for a better tomorrow.

This is why we are working on a bi-annual program in the form of a competition that could discover gifted and talented young entrepreneurs at grassroots level through a competition that will reward the outstanding young entrepreneurs of the year from high school and universities with cutting edge entrepreneurial ideas. Once discovered, we will work with organizations and business institutions to work out avenues for possible financing of this great cutting edge business idea.
We are also working on a number of entrepreneurship games that will enable our youth to get used to the entrepreneurship culture as they gr

aduate out of academic institutions, business world challenges would enable the talented youth to get used to such really business challenges and therefore build on their entrepreneurial traits to become better entrepreneurs and business leaders of tomorrow and such experiences will also encourage them to graduate with an entrepreneurial mindset rather than a job seeking mind set.

o Games are on simulated or virtual environment – You can make mistake and try different scenarios as much as you like (don’t cheat, though… by cheating, the educational purposes of game is nulled.)
o Games help you hone your risk taking skills. Believe it or not, even in a game, people are still afraid of taking risks – So I believe your acts or decisions in business games can show the real you.
o Games’ audio-visual properties can help you learn more and grasp concepts better.
o Games help you develop your planning and managerial skills – In several business games, your abilities to plan and manage are tested in a way that you will have to multitask in real-time.
o Games are supposed to be fun, and having fun speeds your learning process.
